Professor Guillermo Quijano holds an MSc degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico) and a PhD in Biotechnology and Bioengineering from Cinvestav, the center for advanced studies of the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. Guillermo performed postdoctoral research stays in the School of Chemistry of Rennes (ENSCR) and the Ecole des mines d’Alès (EMA) in France. In 2011, Guillermo joined the Department of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technology of the University of Valladolid as senior researcher. Since 2014, Professor Quijano performs his lecturing and research activity in the Agrarian Engineering School in the Soria Campus. His research focuses on (i) the integral management of gas, liquid and solid pollutants by means of biotechnologies and (ii) the recovery of bioenergy and other added-value products from waste streams.Guillermo is currently the Academic Secretary of the Agrarian Engineering School of the University of Valladolid (Soria Campus, Spain).
